Driving Consumer Confidence

Please Note: The Saskatchewan Verified Beef Production program is continuing and there is still funding available for eligible equipment purchases.  Producers can claim 50% up to $750/producer on eligible equipment such as chute neck extenders, livestock weigh scales, and record keeping software.

In an industry with evolving regulations and consumer expectations, VBP is a trusted, recognized process to verify on-farm food safety practices.  VBP provides on-going assurance that Canadian Beef is produced to the highest safety standards, enhancing consumer confidence in the wholesomeness of beef.

Grass-roots driven and industry-led, this national program allows producers to take credit for procedures that they follow on their farm.  It is a simple, practical approach to on-farm food safety.

Building Opportunity

Proof of responsible beef production; VBP is an opportunity to brand your beef and differentiate it from others at the marketplace.  For those that wish to become registered, VBP is an auditable, HACCP-based program recognized by the CFIA.  Your involvement in the program tells everyone - consumers, employees and the industry - that you are committed to safe food production.
